Company Sponsporship for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Golf Day
Central Coast Family Support facilitates the support program Grandparents Raising Grandchildren to support families where grandparents have the full time care and responsibility for their grandchildren. The Grandparents Raising Grandchildren is the only program on the Central Coast specifically addressing the needs of children and their grandparents where there is an absence of their biological parents. These situations can arise because of drug and alcohol issues, neglect or abandonment, long term illness or death of the biological parents. In many cases the children have been removed from their parents due to abuse and mistreatment.
Our program provides support to grandparent headed families through one on one family support, advocacy, counselling, referral, support groups, respite and social events for the children and their families. Without grandparents stepping in at times of crisis or loss to take over the day to day care of their grandchildren, these children may be placed in foster care. It is of utmost importance for this project to gain some additional funding to ensure we can continue to provide the best support possible for this forgotten sector of our community.
To help fund the program, we are holding a Charity Golf Day on Friday 30th March 2012 at the Shelly Beach Golf Club. Your company can help the children of these families by sponsoring a hole at the golf day. You can help in a number of ways including:
. A fun day of golf for a team players
. A presentation lunch for each of the players
. Signage opportunity for your company at a hole for the day
. Media coverage
. Your company will also be acknowledged as a golf day sponsor during the presentation luncheon.
. Your company may use Central Coast Family Support's name in national advertising (use of our logo on your website).
The day will bring together business people and individuals across the Coast who want give back to the community. I am hoping that this may provide a mutual benefit to both our organisations, with much needed fundraising for the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program plus promotion and advertising for your company.
