The Blocks Between You And Your Goal

Have you got a goal but you are not following it? If so, why not? What?s holding you back? Perhaps one of the following reasons are familiar.

- There are so many details that I don?t know where to begin.

- I?m afraid that I might fail.

- I?m not clear on what my goal is. I can?t nail it down.

- I have so many options that I can?t make up my mind.

- The goal is so big that it overwhelms me.

- I just don?t have the time right now.

- I?m not sure if this is right for me.

So I?ve a question to ask you.

Do you want this goal? Or are you happy to let it be a fantasy: a delightful vision that you know you will never even reach for, much less attain?

If so, all I can say is, ?Good dreaming and congratulations for all the effort you have just avoided.?

On the other hand, if you truly want this, if you?re prepared to put in the hours and money and effort to achieve it, then let?s take another look at the list of reasons for not chasing it.

1. There are so many details that I don?t know where to start.
That is what goal setting and goal planning are for: to deal with all of these details so that you?ll know precisely where to start and what you need to do until you?ve reached your goal.

2. I?m afraid that I might fail.
Yes, you could. There are no guarantees, but you do have three choices:

a. Don?t begin. That way you won?t fail. You also won?t succeed.

b. Begin by ignoring the need to plan. That might work, but it is doubtful.

c. Begin by developing a solid goal, then develop a sound plan. This is the best route to success.

3. There are so many options in my goal that I can?t make up my mind.
Then pick the ones that are most energizing to you. Goal setting means picking the options that are the best and putting the other ones aside for now.

4. I?m not clear on what my goal is.
The first step in setting a goal is figuring out exactly where you are going; to get really clear on your goal.

5. The goal is so big that it overwhelms me.
Great. Me too. I have started many projects swamped by their complexity and uncertain of how to begin. I?ve found that the most effective way to get going is to develop a step by step plan to get there.

6. I just don?t have the time right now.
What you really mean is that your goal is not as important as any of the other activities on which you spend your time. That is up to you: these are your priorities. When you truly want the goal, you?ll find the time.

7. I?m not sure if this is right for me.
This is a massive issue. Why would you put in effort on a course of action that you are not sure about? We?ll look at this in another article.

Briefly the best way to overcome the barriers to your goal is to do effective goal setting and solid goal planning. Make sure that your goal is clear, and develop the plan to get there.

Skyrim gets Kinect integration on Xbox, over 200 voice commands in tow (video)

Skyrim gets Kinect integration on Xbox, over 200 voice commands in tow (video)
Okay, we have some excellent and some disappointing Skyrim tidbits to share. The good news being that bestseller The Elder Scrolls V is finally adding (real) support for Microsoft's Kinect, but unfortunately, it's coming exclusively to the Xbox console (sorry PC folks). That said, developer Bethesda says the update -- which is arriving later this month -- will bring more than 200 voice commands to the title, allowing things like Dragon Shouts, Follower Commands and Hotkey Equipping. In addition to busting out your best moves, you'll also be able to control menus within the game, as well as save and load your Skryim progress. While the full list of commands is set to be unveiled "in the coming weeks," there's a sneak preview waiting on you right now just past the break.

Some Great Tips And Advice On How To Lose Weight ...

By Becky Mcdonald ?http://subliminalselfhypnosis.com/pblog/some-great-tips-and-advice-on-how-to-lose-weight/

Losing weight can seem daunting and overwhelming. Apply the advice you will get from this article so you will have an easier time finding something that will help you lose weight.

A simple and effective tool for weight loss is a pedometer. With a pedometer, you will be able to see the number of steps you are taking.

This can ensure you are walking as much as you should everyday. Ten thousand steps is a good goal to have. If you aren?t walking that much, you need to increase your steps.

Don?t use any ?magical? diet pills that are advertised on the web and in stores.

They provide little to no proof of having any positive effect and may even have addictive properties.

No one diet will work for everyone. Some people do well on a low carb diet; for others, the results are disappointing.

When working to rid yourself of extra weight, you need to treat those high calorie foods differently than other foods.

Try having a glass of milk prior to meals to promote shedding pounds.

Have a glass of water before you start eating a meal. It is easier to eat too much when you have gone too long without food.

You need to drink water to lose weight. However, you may not know that drinking iced water can make your metabolism work harder.

Having a lactose intolerance is known to cause some minor health issues.

You must incorporate an exercise routine to compliment your weight loss diet. Exercise requires fuel, which means it burns calories.

This can cause weight gain and bloating with no apparent cause.

You can burn calories through activities like biking or jogging, while resistance training can be used to build muscle and speed up your metabolism.

As was mentioned in the introduction, losing weight takes dedication, motivation and perseverance. For most people, the hard part is finding the resources and motivation to lose weight. Follow the advice in this article and you will figure out the solution to your weight problem.

I always had trouble slimming down to look great again but recently found a brilliant product that not only reduced my weight but kept it off while giving me more energy learn what it is.dieting

8 types of interviews for the process of business | Business Update

We found 8 (eight) types of interviews for the selection process. While the selection tools, such as requests and evidence, can be used, the most commonly used instruments, and sometimes the only, the selection interview.

The interviews provide an opportunity to personally meet the candidate and to ask questions in a way not possible with psychological tests.

interviews

These are the different types of interviews are used by the human resources area.

1. INTERVIEW NOT ADDRESSED
Questions are asked as they come to mind, there is a special format that is to be followed and the conversation can go in several directions. The interviewer follows points of interest as they arise in response to your questions.

2. INTERVIEW ADDRESSED
It is an interview that follows a fixed sequence of questions. This interview seeks information about the applicant?s expertise and discovers your personality traits, attitudes and motivation. Use of this interview requires special training.

3. STRUCTURED INTERVIEW
Are a series of questions related to the post, with questions ?preferred? that are made to all applicants for employment. Unlike printed interviews conducted, structured interviews can be adapted to include questions on the specific job in question.

4. INTERVIEW SEQUENTIAL
Interview in which the applicant is interviewed sequentially by several supervisors, each of them scored on a standard evaluation form. The evaluations were compared before making a decision.

5. PANEL INTERVIEWS
Interview in which a group of interviewers ask questions to the applicant, allowing interviewers to take advantage of all the candidate?s answers to questions asked by other interviewers.

6. INTERVIEW OF STRESS
The purpose of the interview is to determine how a candidate will react to stress. In this interview, the applicant is upset by a series of hostile questions. This technique helps identify hypersensitive applicants and those with little or a lot of stress tolerance.

7. ASSESSMENT INTERVIEW
Analysis after a performance evaluation in which the supervisor and employee discuss the status of the latter and possible corrective actions.

8. INTERVIEW QUIT
It is to be performed on any person who leaves the organization. It aims to know the opinion of an employee to leave open for comment can be displayed positive and negative aspects that the organization deserves.

Klipsch Gallery G-17 Air

Editors' Note (4/11/2012): After the most recent version of iOS was released, the previously mentioned issue of interrupted AirPlay streams was cleared up. We have since tested and confirmed this, and as such have revised the review and score to reflect that improvement.

As AirPlay speaker systems increase in number?most of them still being referred to as "docks" despite a lack of an actual dock for an iPhone, iPod, or iPad?a few things are becoming increasingly clear. Almost all AirPlay docks are black, and the Klipsch Gallery G-17 Air is no exception. They are all pretty expensive?the G-17 is a hefty $549.99 (direct). For the most part, all AirPlay docks thus far offer quality audio, ranging from booming bass, as with the Audyssey Audio Dock Air ($399.99, 3.5 stars) to superb high fidelity sound, as with the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air ($599.95, 4 stars). The G-17 sounds excellent, and as of the most recent iOS update, has resolved the streaming issues we experienced in the past.?

Design
The rounded, glossy black piano finish of the Gallery G-17 Air is striking, as is the horizontal array of drivers?two 20-watt woofers in the middle and two 10-watt tweeters on the far left and right ends of the front panel. A small Klipsch logo and a remote sensor are the only other things on the front panel. All of the controls are located on the small right-hand side panel?Power, Volume, Input Select, and Wi-Fi, which is used for inital setup. The back panel houses the power cable connection, a 3.5mm Aux input, and a USB connection. You'll need a Phillips head screwdriver to attach the glass stand to the speaker unit (screws are included), but the G-17 is also wall-mountable. Also included with the G-17 and its stand: a rubber cover for the input panel on the back, a black cloth grille cover in case you want to hide the awesome looking drivers, a remote control, the power supply, an owners manual, and?seriously?white gloves, so your fingertips don't smudge the glossy black surface when you move the system.

The included remote can be frustrating to use?depending on the angle, and strength of the Wi-Fi signal, adjusting the volume can be a very delayed process. When the signal is good and the audio is streaming smoothly, the remote, which is a simple, thin, black plastic controller with membrane buttons, works fine. It has Power, Volume, Play/Pause, Skip Forward/Backward, and Input Select buttons.

Performance
The Gallery G-17 offers fairly powerful, refined audio performance for its size. There are four drivers but no subwoofer, and the net result is a audiophile-friendly flat response, devoid of booming deep bass but quite capable of articulating low frequencies well. Kick drums sound tight, not thunderous. Lower register stringed instruments sound pleasantly resonant, not overly boosted or booming. John Adams' modern classical piece, "The Chairman Dances," sounds neither overly bright nor rumbly. Instead, the G-17's response favors mid-range frequencies, occasionally allowing high frequency percussion hits, like wood blocks, to pop out from the more commanding force of the stringed instruments. At maximum volume on deep bass tracks, the G-17 doesn't distort, but this is partially due to the lack of booming bass pushed out by the speakers. Still, many systems that have no subwoofer try to reproduce deep bass frequencies with the result of distortion, and the G-17 avoids this problem. The Knife's "Silent Shout," at maximum volume, doesn't sound as thumping as it would on a system with a sub, but it does not distort either, and the bass frequencies are still well represented. Basically, the G-17 offers a nice, smooth response throughout the frequency range that doesn't exaggerate the lows or ignore them. Fans of accurate response over booming bass will be pleased.

Because AirPlay relies on Wi-Fi, it's dependent on the bandwidth of the local network. The more tasks being completed on the Wi-Fi network, no matter how un-taxing on the bandwidth, like sending an email, the more likely the stream is to pause, or stop completely. We have since tested the Klipsch Gallery G-17 Air again with the new version of iOS and experienced little to no interruption in the stream. This is a vast improvement over our initial tests of the speaker, and we have revised its score accordingly.

Apple is reportedly choosing to either switch to or include Bluetooth streaming into the AirPlay feature. Even a year or so ago, Bluetooth streaming was still a weak audio solution, with very little bass and low bit-rate fidelity. But recent developments have strengthened the audio quality greatly, as evidenced by recent Editors' Choices, the portable Bose SoundLink Wireless Mobile Speaker ($299.95, 4 stars) and the fantastic JBL OnBeat Xtreme ($499.95, 4.5 stars), which shows up as an AirPlay device on an iPhone or iPad, but uses Bluetooth. As of the most recent iOS update, AirPlay and Bluetooth seem to be similarly reliable.

The Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air remains at the top of the list of AirPlay docks, in terms of audio performance, with the Klipsch Gallery G-17 close to the top with the most recent version of iOS. The streaming issues have been resolved, and it's now about as functional as a Bluetooth speaker, with excellent audio quality.?

Normalizing tumor blood vessels improves delivery of only the smallest nanomedicines

Normalizing tumor blood vessels improves delivery of only the smallest nanomedicines [ Back to EurekAlert! ] Public release date: 9-Apr-2012

Combining two strategies designed to improve the results of cancer treatment antiangiogenesis drugs and nanomedicines may only be successful if the smallest nanomedicines are used. A new study from Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) researchers, appearing in Nature Nanotechnology, finds that normalizing blood vessels within tumors, which improves the delivery of standard chemotherapy drugs, can block the delivery of larger nanotherapy molecules.

"We found that vascular normalization only increases the delivery of the smallest nanomedicines to cancer cells," says Vikash P. Chauhan, of the Steele Laboratory of Tumor Biology in the MGH Radiation Oncology Department, lead author of the report. "We also showed that the smallest nanomedicines are inherently better than larger nanomedicines at penetrating tumors, suggesting that smaller nanomedicines may be ideal for cancer therapy."

Tumors need to generate their own blood supply to continue growing, but vessels supplying tumors tend to be disorganized, oversized and leaky. Not only does this prevent the delivery of chemotherapy drugs to cells not close to tumor vessels, but the leakage of plasma out of blood vessels increases pressure within the tumor, further reducing the ability of drugs to penetrate tumors. Treatment with drugs that inhibit angiogenesis the process by which new vessels are generated reduces some of these abnormalities, a process called vascular normalization that has been shown to improve treatment of some cancers with standard chemotherapy drugs.

Nanomedicines are actually designed to exploit tumor vessel abnormality. While the molecules of standard chemotherapy drugs are about one nanometer a billionth of a meter nanomedicine molecules are from 10 to 100 times larger, too large to penetrate the pores of blood vessels in normal tissues but small enough to pass through the oversized pores of tumor vessels. Since the size of nanomedicines should keep them out of normal tissues, they are prescribed to reduce the negative side effects of chemotherapy.

The current study was designed to investigate whether the use of antiangiogenesis drugs to normalize tumor vasculature would improve or impede delivery of nanomedicines to tumor cells. In studies using a mouse model of breast cancer, the investigators first confirmed that treatment with DC101, an antibody to a molecule essential to blood vessel growth, temporarily decreased the diameter of enlarged tumor blood vessels. They then showed that this vascular normalization improved the penetration into tumors of 12-nanometer particles but not of 60- or 125-nanometer molecules.

A mathematical model prepared by the MGH team predicted that, while the abnormally large pores in the walls of tumor blood vessels lead to increased pressure within the tumor that impedes the entry of drugs, reducing pore size by antiangiogenesis treatment would relieve intratumor pressure, allowing the entry of those molecules that fit through the smaller pores. To test this prediction, they treated mice with implanted breast tumors either with DC101 and Doxil, a 100-nanometer version of the chemotherapy drug doxorubicin, or with DC101 and Abraxane, a 10-nanometer version of paclitaxel. Although treatment with both chemotherapeutics delayed tumor growth, vascular normalization with DC101 improved the effectiveness only of Abraxane and had no effect on Doxil treatment.

"A variety of anticancer nanomedicines are currently in use or in clinical trials," says Chauhan, who is a graduate student at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS). "Our findings suggest that combining smaller nanomedicines with antiangiogenic therapies may have a synergistic effect and that smaller nanomedicines should inherently penetrate tumors faster than larger nanomedicines, due to the physical principles that govern drug penetration. While it looks like future development of nanomedicines should focus on making them small around 12 nanometers in size we also need to investigate ways to improve delivery of the larger nanomedicines that are currently in use."

"Antiangiogenic agents are prescribed to a large number of cancer patients in combination with conventional therapeutics," explains Rakesh K. Jain, PhD, director of the Steele Lab and senior and corresponding author of the Nature Nanotechnology report. "Our study provides guidelines on how to combine the antiangiogenic drugs with nanotherapeutics." Jain is Cook Professor of Radiation Oncology (Tumor Biology) at Harvard Medical School.

Iran Is Freaking Out Over The Second US Carrier ... - Business Insider

The U.S. sent the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise on its way to the Persian Gulf March 12 for one final foray into the field before its ceremonious decommissioning.

Reports out today by the Associated Press say the U.S. is deploying the aircraft carrier amid the "rising tensions with Iran," but the ship has been on its way to meetup with the Fifth Fleet stationed in Bahrain for over three weeks.

What comes as a bit of a surprise, however, is the Iranian report put out Saturday through its Mehr News Agency,?saying that Tehran is demanding the Enterprise halt its passage into the Strait of Hormuz, and report to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp's Sepah station.

Iran says that while it's there, the ship's commander will answer Revolutionary Guard questions and wait until it receives official permission before entering the area.

The Enterprise and its crew of up to more than 5,800 sailors will be meeting up with the Fifth Fleet to form a carrier strike group.

A strike group is made up of about 7,500 servicemembers, an aircraft carrier, at least one cruiser, six to 10 destroyers, and 65 to 70 aircraft. It is the single largest operational unit of the U.S. Navy and is used as a mighty display of force.

The carrier group can operate at any time of day, in any weather conditions, whether on the open ocean or hemmed in closer to shore and provides firepower through an array of missiles, torpedoes, and aircraft ordnance.

Cmdr. Amy Derrick-Frost of the Bahrain-based 5th Fleet told the AP that the two carriers will operate in support of missions in Afghanistan, and anti-piracy efforts off Somalia.?

The deployment of the Enterprise is "routine and not specific to any threat," Derrick-Frost said, adding she didn't know how long the increased naval presence in the area would last.

The USS Enterprise has been in the service of the Navy since 1961, used in the filming of Top Gun and?will be the first nuclear powered flattop to undergo the decommissioning process.

This is only the fourth time in the past 10 years the U.S. has deployed two aircraft carriers at the same time to patrol the region.

Samantha Zalaznick: Mad Men Recap: A Cinderella Story

"Mystery Date" is all about women and violence. Peggy's artsy TIME photo editor friend Joyce comes in with crime scene pics from the Chicago student nurse massacre where Richard Speck kidnapped nine nurses and murdered eight. One girl survived because she hid under the bed and he lost count. This happened on July 14th, 1966 so it's July 15, only about ten days since we left off last week. Mystery Date was also a popular board game with a popular commercial in 1965 -- the one Sally's watching while Pauline discusses the murders on the phone (see below). To play the game, girls would open different doors to find different mystery dates, with the hope of scoring a hunk, not a dud.

This children's game contrasts the romantic innocence of girls looking for a fantasy with the sobering reality of what else could be behind that door. The murders buzz in the background of our women dealing with their own versions of violence, finding strength as they team up and fight back.

Even the business this week focuses on understanding women. Ginzo (Joyce's nickname for Michael Ginsburg that I will use from now on) pitches an ad about women's secrets. They buy it, but he can't stop talking and tells them they wanted to use Cinderella (Don "killed it") but it's too dark. The way he sees it, it's really about a woman running down a dark street outside a castle, hobbling on one heel, like wounded prey. She's scared when a man comes up behind her, but no matter what, he's handsome standing there holding that shoe: her prince. "She knows she's not safe but she doesn't care. I guess we know in the end, she wants to be caught." This image plays on the dated idea that women have this intrinsic desire to be saved, to hope to find their prince, furthering their vulnerability of getting raped and murdered. Don's pissed off, but Ginzo's enchanting vision sort of resembles one of Don's inspired mid-pitch moments.

Don's Madison Avenue dalliances return and fight back as his run-in with Andrea, the freelancer Don used to free(ly)-lance, forces him to confront his adulterous past. She immediately advances on him before he can introduce his wife. Megan's understandably annoyed: "How many times is this going to happen?" Haha, of course this is happening: "We're in Midtown, we're gonna run into people," AKA sorry baby, I used to pimp this city. He tries to explain, "It was a long time ago and I was unhappy," telling her (and us) that he's changed, though he's not completely convinced himself. Andrea shows up at his apartment and he immediately kicks her out the back door. We can tell he's legitimately afraid of Megan, as well as, it seems, of himself. In a way, Megan and Andrea have teamed up to fight back against Don's adulterous inclinations (his own injustice to women). He has a fever dream about her coming back where he gives into her and then strangles her to death and pushes her under the bed, creating that same image, like Cinderella, of one shoe sticking out (Wicked Witch of the West, anyone?).

Don's clearly trying to kill that part of him, but worries that he would give in, that maybe he still is that guy. When he wakes up after snuffing her out, he tells Megan, "You have nothing to worry about." We knew it was fake, but there was definitely a scary moment when we thought this might be real. Don's significantly sick this whole episode with a debilitating cough. The roles are reversed and in this case, the woman is the sexual aggressor and a weakened Don takes on the feminine role of submission. He turns to violence to regain his power over himself. Because when he dreams it's Andrea coming back it's really Megan coming home, do we think he mumbled Andrea out loud? She looks kind of freaked out. What did she hear?

In my favorite part of the episode, Peggy and Dawn bond and team up against the Man in their union. Peggy's in the office working late because Roger forgot to tell Ginzo to work on the Mohawk campaign and pays her $410 to do it and tell Pete and Ginzo he asked her last week. She hilariously taunts Roger, who has lost all semblance of power in his desperation. She hears something (and is scared because of the murders) and finds Dawn sleeping in Don's office. Dawn can't take a cab because they won't go above 96th Street and her brother won't let her take the subway with everything that's happening in Chicago. There's an awkward moment when Peggy says, "You're not a nurse" and then realizes, "Oh right, you're black, your world is more dangerous."

There wasn't another riot in Harlem; "There was a thing in Bed-Stuy" and Peggy takes her home for the night. They drink and commiserate (though Peggy's doing most of both). Peggy tells her, "I know we're not really in the same situation, but I was the only one like me there for a long time" and tells her, "She was discovered, like Esther Blodgett (the main character from A Star is Born, another hopeful fairytale, and one dealing with a drunk older man). Peggy says it's tough to be a woman copywriter. She asks Dawn if she thinks she acts like a man. Peggy says she's tries but she doesn't know if she has it in her -- or that she wants to. This is interesting, because we didn't know Peggy felt this way. This also reminded me of when Bobby Barrett told her in season one, "You can't be a man so act like a woman."

Dawn asks Peggy not to tell Don she slept there because "You two talk." We haven't really seen them talk, so it's good to know they still do. Peggy says, "Nah, we have to stick together." The murders bring out this feeling of female solidarity. It's the rumblings of the women's movement as they feel the need to protect each other. But to what extent? The scene ends with that painfully awkward moment when Peggy pauses, leaving her bag filled with all her Roger-victory cash alone with Dawn. They both recognize it immediately, and though Peggy leaves the bag, the instinctive distrust is as -- or more -- significant than the considered trust. Even liberal, accepting people like Peggy had to confront their own deeply-rooted race hangups that they may not have even realized they had.

Back at the Francis residence, Sally's stuck alone with Pauline while Betty and Henry visit Bobby at camp (isn't he young to be away at camp?). Pauline's been talking about the murders all day but refusing to tell Sally what happened, so she gets the paper and reads it under her covers with a flashlight. Terrified, Sally can't sleep, so she comes down to Pauline (in adorable pajamas). They haven't been getting along, fighting over rules and TV, but like the other women, they team up in their fear. Sally asks why Speck did that, and Pauline tells Sally, "Those girls got ready for bed, and there was a knock on the door and a handsome man was there." Basically, they were Cinderella and he was their mystery date. She says they probably thought he couldn't rape all nine of them. Why not? Lesson time, Sally! You just can't. Pauline assures her that they'll be safe with her "burgler alarm," holding up a huge steak knife (ha!), and horrifyingly gives Sally Seconal to sleep. Sally sleeps under the couch and the image mimics the way the girl escaped the murder, and the way Don hides Andrea under the bed.

Joan -- poor Joan -- suffers the greatest abuse of them all and fights back with the most definitive action. Greg finally comes home and tells her instead of the planned 40 days, he's going back to Vietnam for a year. She's angry but stands by him until his mother reveals Greg wasn't ordered to stay, he volunteered. Oh, hell no. With pure Joan strength, she calmly tells him to leave and never come back. She tells him to stop using the army to make himself feel like a man. Greg clarifies the army makes him feel like a good man and she retorts, "You're not a good man, you never were, even before we were married and you know what I'm talking about." The rape! Finally they brought it back up, and perfectly placed it in this episode. He physically raped her that time in Don's office and he's been emotionally raping her for long enough. It's over. I had hoped he'd die in Vietnam, but I'm glad she got to decide to get rid of him on her own terms. Weren't you kinda hoping she'd yell out, "And he isn't even your baby, you idiotic doctor that can't calculate gestational months?"

It pans out on a sad shot of Joan the baby and her mother in bed together -- her new reality -- with the controversial 1962 Phil Spector song "He Hit Me (It Felt Like a Kiss)" written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King and sung by the Crystals. The song aptly furthers both the violence and the Cinderella story of "wanting to be caught."

A few other things:
Joan's son is named Kevin.

Joan's hair and lips exactly match her burnt orange walls.

Sally's really skinny and not eating -- reaction to Betty's weight gain.

When Sally fights with Pauline, she's upset that she doesn't believe she's allowed to watch as much TV as she wants and says Betty has no rules. The old, skinny Betty had lots of rules (however randomly enforced) so we see how removed she's become, too distracted by her Bugles and her fat.

Betty looks a little thinner.

Ginzo is funny. He tells Don, "I told him not to use the word genius, about either of us."

Don to Ginzo: "I just wanted to hear the tone of your voice so I could make sure it's not as annoying as it is in everyday life."

Funny Inspector Gadget music playing as Roger sneaks behind Pete.

They want a French girl for the Butler's ad, like Megan! She's the hot girl of the moment.

I've been wondering why Joan's mother freaks me out so much, and finally realized it's because she's evil teacher Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter!

After over a decade and casting problems,?principal photography?took place from May to July 2011. The film is scheduled to be released on April 13, 2012.?The film is rated PG for slapstick action violence, some rude and suggestive humor including language by the MPAA rating system.

Conundrum Entertainment?s Bradley Thomas became attached to?The Three Stooges?around 2000 with?Columbia Pictures. In March 2001,?Warner Bros.?bought the feature rights from C3 Entertainment and?Peter?and?Bobby Farrelly?became involved.?They along with co-writer?Mike Cerrone?completed the script in mid-to-late 2002 and began shopping it. In 2004, with no talent being attached to the project, their rights expired and it was acquired by?First Look Studiosand C3 Entertainment.

?

In November 2008,?MGM?boss?Mary Parent?picked up The Farrelly?s Warner Bros. scripts and the rights from C3 Entertainment, and was given a budget of $40 million with a release date of November 20, 2009.?In March 2009, after struggling with casting delays, the release date was pushed to 2010, but the filmmakers still did not have a cast set.?In November 2010,?MGM filed bankruptcy?and the following month the project was taken over by?20th Century Fox?in hopes to have released the film on March 14, 2011.

?

The Farrellys said that they were not going to do a biopic or remake, but instead new?Three Stooges?episodes set in the present day. The film will be divided into three segments with a stand-alone story, each being 27 minutes long.?The Farrelly?s aim to receive a PG (Parental Guidance) rating from the?MPAA, while still incorporating?physical comedy. The Farrellys have also said it would have ?non-stop slapping, more in the tone of?Dumb and Dumber?than we?ve done. Our goal is 85 minutes of laughs in a film that will be very respectful of who the Stooges were. It?s by far the riskiest project we?ve ever done, without question, but it is also the one closest to our hearts.?

Casting

In March 2009,?Benicio del Toro?was in talks to play the lead role of?Moe Howard,?but then later dropped out. He was replaced by?Chris Diamantopoulos?in April 2011.?Hank Azaria?was considered for the part.?Sean Penn?was already set to play?Larry Fine?but dropped out to concentrate on his?charitable efforts in Haiti.?Sean Hayes?was chosen to play Larry.?Jim Carrey?was set to play?Curly Howard?and gained 40 pounds for the role but ultimately dropped out because of not wanting to endanger his health gaining 60 to 70 pounds.?The role went to?Will Sasso.?Johnny Knoxville,?Andy Samberg?and?Shane Jacobson?were all on the?short list?to play Moe, Larry and Curly, respectively.

Director defends release of Williams recording

(AP) ? A documentary film director says he had the right to release a recording of then-Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams exhorting his players to physically punish targeted San Francisco players in a playoff game.

In a statement posted on his promotional website, Sean Pamphilon says he and former Saints special teams standout Steve Gleason have a production agreement that he has followed.

Gleason, who has ALS, had been allowing Pamphilon to document his struggle against the incurable disease. The Saints, who've supported Gleason's efforts to raise awareness about ALS, gave Pamphilon special access.

Gleason says the Williams recording should not have been released without his permission, which he never gave.

Pamphilon says he cannot understand why Gleason would want to prevent him from sharing the truth about Williams with the public.

Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race halted by swimmer

Britain's historic Boat Race was dramatically disrupted Saturday when a wetsuit-clad protester swam across the River Thames, before Cambridge claimed a controversial victory over rivals Oxford.

The activist caused a half-hour hiatus in the race between England's two oldest universities, which is in now its 158th year, in a stunt that will raise security questions ahead of the Olympics and the queen's Diamond Jubilee.

After the race was restarted there was fresh chaos when the two crews clashed and one of Oxford's oars snapped off.

The team's desperate, abortive efforts to recover caused one of their rowers to collapse as they crossed the finish line, although Oxford boat race president Karl Hudspith later said he "is conscious and will hopefully be OK".

Hudspith condemned the protester who he blamed for Oxford's defeat, saying in a Twitter message: "My team went through seven months of hell, this was the culmination of our careers and you took it from us."

As he was pulled out of the water by a lifeboat crew, the swimmer appeared to have a broad smile on his face, before police arrested him on suspicion of a public order offence and took him into custody.

But the protest will raise questions about security ahead of an eventful summer in the British capital.

While rowing events for the 2012 London Olympics starting in July will be held at a closed course in Windsor, west of the city, a flotilla marking the queen's 60 years on the throne is set to proceed down the Thames in June.

British media identified the swimmer as an activist named Trenton Oldfield and published a statement he had purportedly posted on the Internet titled: "Elitism leads to tyranny."

"I am swimming into the boats in the hope I can stop them from completing the race and proposing the return of surprise tactics," he apparently wrote.

The two boats were about eight minutes into the race, with Oxford about a third of a length ahead, when the man wearing a black wetsuit swam in front of the two boats, and was nearly hit by the oars of the Oxford crew.

Spectator Mike Emerson said he had seen the man in his early 20s come through the trees on the south bank of the river and then get into the water long before the boats came past.

"He started swimming, he knew what he was doing," Emerson, who is 60 and from Cambridge, told AFP.

"He drifted down the river and then he waited near a pontoon until the boats came, and then he deliberately swam out toward the boats."

Umpire John Garrett halted the race after reserve umpire and former British Olympic rower Matthew Pinsent spotted something in the water.

"He (Pinsent) thought it was some debris and then we realised that it was actually a swimmer," Garrett said.

"We weren't sure what was going to happen, whether he was going to get out of the way in time and then it was quite clear he was just waiting for the boats to come across him, so I had to stop the race and restart."

It restarted around half an hour later but seconds after that the crews clashed and one of the Oxford oars snapped off, leaving them trailing far behind by the end of the race.

There was further drama after the finish when Oxford crew member Alex Woods, 27, collapsed in the boat and had to receive medical attention.

Coach Sean Bowden said: "I guess you can only imagine the desperation that Alex must have been in with only six crew-mates left and that's probably how he ended up pushing himself beyond his limits."

The traditional post-race presentation ceremony was abandoned.

"I think it's hard to imagine a Boat Race that contained so much to talk about," Pinsent told the BBC.

Umpire Garrett stood by his decision to award the win to Cambridge, saying the rules stated that crews "have to abide by their accidents".

"In the immediate run-up to the clash I was warning Oxford. Cambridge were in the right position so I was content to let the race continue and the result stand," he said.

The last time the Boat Race was restarted was in 2001 when the crews clashed and one of them lost an oar.

Once just an event for undergraduates at Oxford and Cambridge, the Boat Race has become an increasingly international event, with a succession of top-class rowers from around the world eager to take part.

Jennifer Lopez, Real-Life Beau 'Dance Again' In New Video

Clip plays up the romance between singer and dancer boyfriend Casper Smart.
By Jocelyn Vena

Jennifer Lopez in "Dance Again"
Photo: Columbia Records

Tricky effects and glittery body paint are hardly the headlines coming from the new Jennifer Lopez video for "Dance Again," which dropped Thursday night.

The video is really all about J. Lo and her dancer beau, Casper Smart can dance and rub up on one another. With a cameo from a tuxedo-clad Pitbull, who raps on the RedOne-produced track, and appearances from lots of other attractive dancers, this video focuses on the real-life couple, dancing synchronized side by side.

This isn't the first time the "American Idol" judge has enlisted a boyfriend for one of her videos. In the past, Lopez has recruited real-life loves Diddy, Ben Affleck, Chris Judd and Marc Anthony.

The video opens with this message: "Always remember: You will live, you will love, you will dance again."

From there, it's all about the singer and Smart falling into a sea of scantily clad dancers, piled up on one another. In the bevy of people, Lopez crawls to her guy, she crawls to him, and from there they embark on a love affair, full of pop-and-lock dance moves and blindfolded shenanigans. The video not only plays up the romance between Lopez and Smart, but also her best physical attributes as she frequently appears in the video wearing body-hugging costumes that make it perfect for Casper to touch her famous derriere.

While J. Lo and Smart are certainly the stars, it's worth noting that the clip closes with a shot of Voli vodka, which probably had a hand in paying for the sexy video.

"Dance Again" is the lead single off Lopez's next musical endeavor. She previously worked with Pitbull and RedOne on her single "On the Floor."

What do you think of J. Lo's new video? Leave your comment below!

Avoiding Business Travel | World of Travel Market

Avoiding Business Travel

Businesses are seeing the cost of transporting goods and general travel dictating that either profits are dropping or that the cost of the items they sell are having to rise. In turn, individuals are finding that not only are they struggling to afford to fuel their cars, but also that the cost of living in general is rising proportionately, hitting many very hard.

However, for businesses who want to remain competitive, there are still ways to reduce the costs associated with business travel, and in turn ensure that the price of goods or services can remain low.

The first step is to look into a fleet fuel card. A fuel card can save businesses a great deal of money in many different ways, firstly reducing the cost of the fuel itself and secondly taking out a great deal of admin work at the same time and in turn saving money in wages being paid to consolidate facts and figures.

On top of this, with a fuel card, receipts won?t get lost and therefore you can ensure the full amount of tax can be claimed for every time.

Of course, a fleet fuel card can only do so much. And whilst they are integral for businesses making essential journeys, simply removing any unessential journeys can be the biggest help of all. For business meetings, many can now be done using services such as Skype, whilst smaller deliveries can often be grouped together with other companies? deliveries to mean that fuel costs can be divided.

There are many journeys that companies make that can simply be avoided, and by doing so a huge amount of money can be saved, meaning you can simply keep prices low and that not only are you likely to therefore increase trade, but also ensure you have very happy customers at the same time.Businesses are seeing the cost of transporting goods and general travel dictating that either profits are dropping or that the cost of the items they sell are having to rise. Hope for Romania baby born with stunted intestines

BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) ? Baby Andrei has confounded doctors just by being alive: The tiny boy with twig-thin limbs was given just days to live when he was born with almost no intestines ? eight months ago.

Now there's a glimmer of hope for another miracle.

People in Europe and the United States have started offering funds to help Andrei get a complicated intestine transplant in the United States, the Romanian pediatrician in charge of the baby's care said Thursday.

The offers came after an Associated Press story last week chronicled how Dr. Catalin Cirstoveanu, head of the neonatal unit at Bucharest's Marie Curie children's hospital, flies babies abroad for lifesaving surgery to get around a culture of corruption in which many doctors won't operate unless they're bribed. AP photographs of Andrei in his incubator generated sympathy around the world.

"Offers of help have come in, particularly from abroad, from a non-governmental organization," Cirstoveanu said.

The cost of the surgery goes into the hundreds of thousands of dollars, way out of the reach of Andrei's Gypsy parents, who live in a poor part of eastern Romania. Romania's average monthly salary is ?350 ($460).

The bribery culture in Romanian hospitals is so ingrained that nurses expect bribes just to change sheets. Surgeons can get hundreds of euros (dollars) and upward for an operation, while anesthetists get roughly a third of that.

Cirstoveanu runs the cardio unit at Marie Curie. But its state-of-the-art machinery has lain idle because he has banned staff from taking bribes. So he flies sick babies to western Europe on budget flights so they can get treatment from doctors who won't expect kickbacks.

Andrei, who still weighs less than an average newborn, has just 10 centimeters (4 inches) of intestine, compared to about three meters (yards) for other babies his age. Like them, he has started teething.

He has captured the hearts of his nurses, some of whom played the lottery to try to raise the money needed for surgery in the U.S., which Cirstoveanu hopes the infant will now get for free.

Andrei's parents, who live hundreds of kilometers (miles) away, rarely visit. Nurses take turns cuddling the bony baby, who loves human contact and screws up his face and wails when put back in his incubator.

Andrei's alert gaze and keen interest in the world around him appear at odds with his frail, shrunken frame of just 2.8 kilograms (6.16 pounds). He has grown less than one kilogram (2.2 pounds) since he was born premature on July 27 in the small town of Tecuci.

"He has no muscles or fat on him, but gets annoyed when no attention is paid to him," said Cirstoveanu, who personally oversees the sick baby's development.

Without surgery, he said, Andrei could expect to live for "one, two, three months."

Andrei's parents all but despaired of saving their son when they approached Cirstoveanu for help.

Now, it seems possible.

"He should have been dead by now, but he has another chance," Cirstoveanu said. "But he needs this operation soon. It is very urgent."
